The behavior to structure synchronization checks the consistency of the <viewpoint name>* Internal Connectivity diagram with Activities, automatically detects inconsistencies, and enables users to handle each inconsistency individually by providing solver actions to ensure the coherence of the <viewpoint name>* Internal Connectivity diagrams with Activities.

The behavior to structure synchronization validates the Operational / Resource / Service Role displayed in the <viewpoint name>* Internal Connectivity Diagram to check for compatible

  • Operational / Resource / Service Ports
  • Operational / Resource / Service Connectors
  • Operational / Resource / Service Interfaces
  • Operational / Resource / Service Exchanges

To verify whether or not the structural elements (e.g., ports, interfaces) and behavioral elements (e.g., flows) are compatible, validation rules are used. If any inconsistencies are found, they are highlighted in yellow in the Internal Connectivity Diagram and displayed in the Validation Results panel. Then, they can be individually handled using solvers.

Synchronizing behavior to the structure.

Checking behavior to structure synchronization

To initiate the behavior to structure synchronization check, ensure the Internal Connectivity Diagrams have Asset Roles displayed, and the behavior model is defined (in the Process Flow diagrams, the communication between Asset Roles is modeled).

To check the structure model consistency with the behavior model

  1. In the toolbar of the <viewpoint name>* Internal Connectivity Diagram, click Tools.
  2. In the open drop-down menu, select Behavior to Structure Synchronization.

The behavior to structure synchronization check is initiated.
