The modeling tool* version 19.0 SP3 does not start after upgrading to Mac OS X Big Sur. How can I fix this issue?

This happens because the application is moved into quarantine.


To remove the application from quarantine

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Write the command: xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /<modeling tool installation folder> (e.g. "xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MagicDraw")
  3. Press Enter to execute the command.
  4. Close the terminal and start the modeling tool* using the .app file.
