To create an Impact Matrix

  1. Specify the Row Scope (Strategic Element, Operational Element, Resource Element, and Service Element).
  2. Specify the Column Scope (Strategic Element).
  3. Click the Refresh button.


The Strategic/Operational/Resource/Service Elements mapps to Strategic Elements using the ImpactedBy relationship.

ImpactedBy relationship is available between the following element pairs:

  • Actual Outcome and Enterprise Goal
  • Capability and Opportunity
  • Actual Strategic Phase and Challenge
  • Operational Architecture/Resource Architecture/Service Architecture and Challenge
  • Operational Activity and Challenge



To map the elements

  • Double-click an empty intersection between the desired elements.


To remove the relation

  • Double-click a full intersection between the desired elements.


To change the matrix axes

  • In the matric toolbar, click Change Axes.
