Working with matrices
For more generic procedures on working with matrices, see the Dependency Matrix chapter.
Building matrices
To build a matrix
- Specify the Row Scope.
- Specify the Column Scope.
- Click
.
Mapping elements in matrices
To map elements
- Double-click an empty intersection.
Removing the relation from the matrix
To remove the relation
- Double-click a full intersection between the desired elements.
Resetting to default
When working with the predefined matrices, you can make some changes to the default settings, e.g., change the row or column element type, dependency criteria, or directions. You can restore the following settings to the default at any time:
- Description
- Direction
- Dependency Criteria
- Show Elements
- Column Element Type
- Row Element Type
To restore the default predefined matrix settings
- In the matrix toolbar, click
and choose the Reset to Default command.
Description area
The matrix descriptions in the Description area come from two different locations: tag value or stereotype.
If the tag value is set, the matrix description is the information from the tag value. If the tag value is not set, the description comes from the matrix stereotype. The information in the matrix stereotype is always more recent.
If you want to see a more recent matrix description (which may change with a new modeling tool/plugin release), clear the tag value. For more information about editing tagged values, see Editing tagged value.
