Security measures

Used to mitigate or control a threat condition. Security measures may be features, functions, or procedures, both onboard or offboard.

Identifying an L3-level security function as a functional security measure

To identify an L3-level security function as a functional security measure


  1. In the Containment tree, right-click an L3-level security function and click Stereotype.



  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the dialog, select FunctionalSecurityMeasure[Class] and click Apply.



    • In the search tab, type the keyword security, select FunctionalSecurityMeasure[Class], and click Apply.



The L3 level security function is defined as a functional security measure in the Containment tree. You can also assign the Stereotype to any L3 level security function with the aid of the Specification dialog.

You must drag and drop the security measures in the L3 Internal Block Diagram to use them in the architecture.
