Downloading the CATIA Magic/Cameo SysML v2 Community Edition

To download the CATIA Magic/Cameo SysML v2 Community Edition


  1. Go to https://software.3ds.com/
  2. Create an account (if you don't have one yet) and sign in.
  3. Click Free Download > CATIA Magic/No Magic.
  4. Find CATIA Magic SysML v2 Community Edition in the list.
  5. Click 1/2 for Windows, or 2/2 for Mac.
  6. Install the product you just downloaded (Magic Systems of Systems Architect, or MSOSA for short).
  7. Add the required system property in the msosa.properties file:
        1. Open the Magic Systems of Systems Architect installation folder.
        2. Go to the bin folder.
        3. Open the msosa.properties file for editing in a text editor (e.g., Notepad, Notepad++, or any other).
        4. Locate the JAVA_ARGS line and add the -DEnblS2CmmntMd\=true system property.
  8. Launch the Magic Systems of Systems Architect.
  9. In the License Manager, select Use in Community Mode.
  10. Read the license agreement and click I agree.
  11. Once the Welcome screen loads, you will see a prompt indicating that the SysML v2 plugin must be installed.
  12. Click the Install button in the prompt. The Resource Manager opens with the SysML v2 plugin already selected.
  13. In the Resource Manager, click the Download/Install button to install the SysML v2 plugin.
  14. Restart the tool. You are now running the modeling tool in SysML v2 Community Edition Mode.
