The SysML v2 simulation engine performs a state simulation when one of the following elements is selected for simulation:
- State
- Exhibit state
- Part usage that owns an exhibit state
Starting state simulation
To start the state simulation
- Simulate a state, exhibit state, or part usage that owns an exhibit state.
- In the SysML v2 Simulation window, click
.
The simulation runs until it is manually stopped.
Terminating state simulation
You can terminate the simulation by clicking Terminate (
) from one of the following locations:
- Diagram toolbar
- SysML v2 Simulation window
- Context menu of the simulated element
Sending payloads during simulation
During a simulation, payloads can be sent interactively using the smart manipulator of a transition symbol displayed in views.
To send a payload from a transition symbol
- Select the transition symbol that defines the payload you want to send.
- Click Fire Transition.
If no element consumes a payload, it is automatically removed from the event pool.
