Cameo Collaborator is based on Alfresco technology (see https://www.alfresco.com/). Therefore you must use Alfresco-recommended hardware to deploy Cameo Collaborator.

System requirements for small and medium deployments

Small and medium deployments are deployments where:

  • 5 or 10 connection licenses are used
  • Repository size does not exceed 500,000 elements

System requirements:

  • 12 GB of RAM devoted exclusively to Cameo Collaborator
  • 100 GB of free space on the disk, preferably SSD (Alfresco recommends that the disk throughput is greater than 200 MB/sec.)
  • CPU with 2 or more cores
  • 1 gigabit Ethernet network interface
  • 64-bit operating system: Windows 7 or higher, OS X Yosemite, Linux

System requirements for large enterprise deployments

Large enterprise deployments are deployments where:

  • Repository size does not exceed 8,000,000 elements
  • 1,600,000 elements are published to Cameo Collaborator every day (once a night)

System requirements:

  • RAM:
    • 31 GB devoted to SOLR
    • 31 GB devoted to PostgreSQL
    • 31 GB devoted to Alfresco
  • 3 separate physical disks, preferably SSD (Alfresco recommends that the disk throughput is greater than 200 MB/sec.):
    • 1 disk devoted specifically to SOLR (100 GB free space)
    • 1 disk devoted specifically to PostgreSQL (200 GB free space)
    • 1 disk devoted specifically to Alfresco (200 GB free space)
  • 8-core CPU
  • 1 gigabit Ethernet network interface
  • 64-bit operating system: Windows 7 or higher, OS X Yosemite, Linux.

Important

Recommended hardware depends on the size of the projects you publish to Cameo Collaborator, as well as the frequency of publishing. Contact your account executive to connect you to the team for hardware recommendations to accommodate your specific needs.
