Generic table toolbars

If the Generic table toolbars are not available in a server project, try to lock the table for edit (make sure you have the right to edit model of this project).

The following table describes the Generic table toolbar buttons.

Navigation toolbar
	Alt+B	Click to select in the Containment tree the element of the selected row.
Edit toolbar
Add New	Insert	Click to create a new element in the table. This element will be added to the model also. If there are available several element types, a shortcut menu with available types will open. You will be able to select an element of the type you need.
Add Existing	Ctrl+Insert	Click to add an element from a model. The Select Element dialog opens. Only elements of the type defined in a Generic table will be listed.
Delete	Ctrl+D	Click to remove selected elements both from the table and the model.
Remove From Table	Delete	Click to remove selected elements only from the table.
Layout toolbar
Move up	Ctrl+Up Arrow	Click to shift selected elements (either grouped or non-grouped) up a row. The elements are automatically renumbered after moving.
Move down	Ctrl+Down Arrow	Click to shift selected elements (either grouped or non-grouped) down a row. The elements are automatically renumbered after moving.
Show Columns	N/A	Click to change the set of columns for showing on the Generic table.
Publish toolbar
Export	N/A	Click to export the contents of the Generic table to an .html, .csv, or *.xlsx file.
View toolbar
Refresh	N/A	Click to update the contents of the Generic table after specifying the scope.
Fit in Window	Ctrl+W	Click to fit the table in the active window size.
Zoom 1:1	Ctrl+Slash, Ctrl+NumPad /	Click to show the actual size of the table.
Zoom In	Ctrl+Plus, Ctrl+NumPad +, Ctrl+Equals	Click to enlarge the table maintaining aspect ratio.
Zoom Out	Ctrl+Minus, Ctrl+NumPad -	Click to reduce the table maintaining aspect ratio.
	N/A	Click to show the ratio of size. Click to select the size ratio from the percentage list or enter the value.
Validation toolbar
Validate Diagram	N/A	Click to validates the table against all validation rules stored in the model, except those that are ignored.
Options toolbar
Options	N/A	Click to open the Options menu and then select: Show full paths – to display the full paths of elements (where owner information can be displayed). Save Filter Criteria – to keep the filter criteria unchanged after reloading the project or even after restarting MagicDraw. Show Detailed Column Name – to show property group and/or stereotype names in the table header. This is helpful when the table displays several columns with the same name. Strip Multiline Text – to strip the text that covers more than five rows. Three dots will be added at the end of the stripped text. Specification – to open the Specification window of the Generic table.
Suppress/Expand Criteria Area toolbar
	N/A	Click to hide the Criteria area.
	N/A	Click to show the Criteria area.
Other buttons
Back	Alt+Left Arrow	Click to navigate to the previously opened diagram, table, dependency matrix, or relation map.
Forward	Alt+Right Arrow	Click to navigate to the previously opened diagram, table, dependency matrix, or relation map.
