You can place XOR constraints (there is also a rarely used OR co= nstraint) between relationships using the corresponding toolbar button. Not= e that constraints must join relationships having at least one common end, = never arbitrary relationships.
Current implementation of constraints does not allow placing a constrain= t on more than 2 relationships.
