Specifying ranges by a value list
If you specify ranges for design variables by a value list, a set of specified values is used for a specific property.
To specify ranges for design variables by a value list
- Open the Specification window of the Bound Reference connected to the relevant property.
Specify the value of the Values property.

Error handling
- If the values tag is specified together with the step, numberOfPoints, min or max then the values tag takes precedence and only the values tag shall be used in parameter sweep.
- If the min value is not specified then the default value shall be taken -> 0 and the warning shall be printed on the console.WARN: Since the minimal value of the [value name] design variable is not specified, the default value of 0 is used instead.
The warning shall be printed on the console when the max value is shown when the Max property value is not specified in these combinations: [minMin, maxMax, stepStep] OR or [minMin, maxMax, numberOfPoints] or stepNumber Of Points], Step<0. Invalid values shall be excluded from the trade study analysis. - WARN: The maximal value of the [value name] design design variable is not specified.
If the numberOfPoints value is 1 then the min value shall be the Number Of Points property value is 1, then the Min property value is taken as an alternative result (no required to calculate calculating the step is not required). AlsoIn addition, the warning shall be printed is shown on the console. - WARN: Since the Number Of Points value of the [value name] design design variable is equal to 1, the minimal minimum value is used instead.
The invalid values shall be are excluded from the trade study analysis, and a generic warning shall be printed on the console when:
WARN: (The [value name] design design variable is specified incorrectly. For more information, see Parameter Sweep) is shown on the console when:- The Step property is
- The step is specified in real format numbers (e.g., 1.5; 0.25) but the value is typed as Integeran integer.
Exception: the warning shall is not be displayed if there is only a "0" zero after the comma, decimal point (e.g., 1.0; 5.0).The - The Step is calculated step is in real format numbers, but the value is typed as an integer (e.g. min Min=1 max, Max=10 numberOfvalues, Number Of Points=10 -> step, calculated Step=0.11) but the value typed as Integer.
Exception: the warning shall is not be displayed if there is only a "0" zero after the comma, decimal point (e.g., 1.0; 2.0). - Neither the Step nor Number Of Points property value is Neither step nor numberOfPoints values specified.
- stepStep=0
Exception: the the warning shall is not be displayed if the numberOfPoints>0 is specified Number Of Points>0. - Number Of PointsnumberOfPoints<=0
- Min>=Maxmin >= max
Exception: the the warning shall is not be displayed if numberOfPointsdisplayed if Number Of Points=1.
