Magic Collaboration Studio

Released on: November 8, 2024

The latest Magic Collaboration Studio release introduces branch creation directly from the web UI, simplifying project management without needing a modeling tool. New webhook support for specific project branches adds flexibility in tracking model changes, and users can now generate personal access tokens for secure, password-free CLI authentication. Additionally, conditional user groups offer dynamic access control based on SAML IdP attributes, ensuring user criteria compliance on every login.

Cameo Collaborator is now integrated with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, enabling you to publish and view Cameo Collaborator documents directly on the platform. You can now include content from one document to another, making it easier to enrich your documents. Additionally, you can now link paragraphs to model element properties directly within Cameo Collaborator.

Teamwork Cloud

Creating Branches via Web UI

We are excited to announce a powerful new feature: the ability to create project branches directly from the web user interface! This eliminates the need to have access to a modeling tool, making it easier and faster than ever to manage your projects.

Webhooks for Project Branches

You can now create webhooks for the project trunk as well as for its specific branches. This enhancement allows more flexibility and control when monitoring model change events.

Personal Access Token

You can now use the My Account application to generate a personal access token, providing a secure and convenient way to authenticate command-line tools. With this token, you can authenticate without needing to enter your username and password, enhancing both security and ease of use.

Conditional User Groups

In certain security-related authentication scenarios it is necessary for user access rights to be determined dynamically by SAML IDPs on each login operation by taking network and user location (and possibly other criteria) into account. Magic Collaboration Studio 2024x Refresh2 introduces the ability to validate/invalidate user group membership based on SAML attribute values whenever you log in.

Cameo Collaborator for Teamwork Cloud

Cameo Collaborator Integration with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

We are excited to announce that with the release of version 2024x Refresh2, Cameo Collaborator is integrated with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This enhancement expands Cameo Collaborator capabilities, allowing you to not only work with documents on Teamwork Cloud, but also publish and view them on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Composing Documents from Other Documents' Content

We are excited to announce a powerful feature that provides a new way to augment Cameo Collaborator documents. You can now include content, such as diagrams and tables, from one document into another. This allows you, for example, to compose a document entirely from the content of several different documents. Depending on the selected option, the included content will be updated when the source document changes or will stay the same as it was at the time of inclusion..

New Way to Link Paragraphs to Model Elements

In the previous version of Cameo Collaborator, we introduced the ability to link paragraphs to numerical and textual model element properties. This release adds further improvements to this functionality, allowing you to link paragraphs not only in a modeling tool but in Cameo Collaborator as well.

Other Improvements

Editable Cameo Collaborator documents are often enriched by adding images. Now, when exporting these documents to PDF or HTML formats, all attached images are included in the generated files.
