You can create project branches directly in the Resources application without using a modeling tool.

To create a project branch

1. Go to the Resources application.
2. Click on the right side of the project line and select Resource history.
3. On the line of the project version from which you want to create a branch, click and select Create branch.
   
   
4. In the Create branch dialog, enter the branch name and comment (optional).
5. Click the Create button.

A new branch is created and displayed on the project history screen. You can also use the Resource app to manage project branches.
