To create an Architecture Management diagram
When the diagram is created, you can start creating the appropriate elements. An example is described using the Viewpoint element, but the same is valid for other available elements.
To create an element in a diagram
Creating elements from the Containment tree differs from creating them in the diagram. The element availability depends on which Architecture Management view specification package you choose. In this example, the Viewpony element creation from the Architecture Management Structure package in the Containment tree is described, but any other element from a different package can be created in the same way.
To create an element in the Containment tree
To create the elements from other resources (e.g. Word, Excel, HTML)
For more information about creating the elements from other resources, see Creating elements from other resources. |
When you have Capability Configuration (or another appropriate element) created, you can start connecting them using the Generalization relationship.
To connect the elements with the Generalization relationship
From the smart manipulator, which appears after you select the element, choose Generalization.
You can also select the Generalization relationship from the diagram palette. |
Move the mouse pointer over the target element and click to finish the action.
If needed, you can make the Generalization target element abstract.
