Creating Operational Internal Connectivity diagramThe owner of the Operational Internal Connectivity diagram must be an Operational Performer.
To create an Operational Internal Connectivity diagram
- Create Operational Roles.
- Associate Operational Roles using Operational Connectors.
- Create Operational Exchanges flowing via Operational Connectors.
Create the Internal Connectivity Diagram from the Composite Structure element using any method which is most suitable for you: - Right-click the Composite element in a Structure Diagram and Create Diagram.
- Right-click the Composite element in the Containment Tree and Create Diagram.
- Select the Internal Connectivity Diagram from the Smart Manipulator.
The diagram creation wizard is displayed, showing the hierarchical list of part properties owned by the selected composite element. All the elements or any subset can be included in the diagram. - Open the Realized Operational Exchange wizard by doing one of the following:
- On the diagram pane, select the Operational Connector between a pair of Operational Roles, and on the smart manipulator toolbar, click.
- Click and on the diagram pane, select the Operational Connector.
- Specify the Operational Exchange, Conveyed Item, and Direction.
- Click Next to specify Producing and Consuming Activities.
- Click Finish when you are done.
Showing or hiding realized Operational ExchangesYou can choose to either show or hide the Operational Exchange Item on the element realizing Operational Exchanges.
To show/hide the realized Operational Exchange Items
- On the diagram, click the element for which you want to show or hide the realized exchange.
- In the smart manipulator toolbar:
- If the Operational Exchange Item is not displayed, the tooltip for the button is Show Realized Operational Exchanges. Click it to hide the Operational Exchange Item.
- If the Operational Exchange Item is displayed, the tooltip for the button is Hide Realized Operational Exchanges. Click it to hide the Operational Exchange Item.
If the element realizes only one Operational Exchange, the Operational Exchange Item is displayed/hidden instantly with the click of a button.
- If the element realizes multiple Operational Exchanges, the Operational Exchange Items dialog opens. In the dialog, do the following:
- Select the check-boxes for the Operational Exchanges whose Operational Exchange Item you want to be displayed.
Clear the check-boxes for the Operational Exchanges whose Operational Exchange Item you want to be hidden. To select all check boxes, click the Select All button. To clear all check boxes, click the Clear All button. |
- Click OK.
