You can create sections anywhere in a Cameo Collaborator document and reorder them in the scope of the current document view. New sections can later be filled with any type of content, like paragraphs and images.
Prerequisites
To create sections in a Cameo Collaborator document:
- The document must be published for editing.
- You need the Read Resources permission or Resource Reviewer role for the document.
- You need the Read Resources and Edit Resources permission or Resource Contributor role for the project with read-write permissions for the project branch.
Creating document sections
Follow the steps below to create a new section in a Cameo Collaborator document.
To create a document section
Click on the bottom right corner of the content pane.
- Click the Create section icon at the top of a section.
- In the Section name box of Create section pane, enter the section name.
- Click the Place section drop-down box and select one of the following options:
- Below - to create a section below the open section.
- Above - to create a section above the open section.
- Inner section - to create a subsection within the open section, positioned one level deeper in the navigation tree hierarchy.
- Click .
- Repeat steps 1 to 6 to create more sections or click on the bottom right corner of the content pane to exit the editing mode.
The newly created section is empty and only has a name. Now you can fill it with content, like paragraphs and media.
Tip
You can change a section's name the same way you edit other items in a Cameo Collaborator document. For more information, refer to Editing element values.
Reordering document sections
You can reorder the sections created in a Cameo Collaborator document as described below.
Note that the position of a document section can only be changed within the scope of the current document view.
To change the position of a document section
- In the app bar of a Cameo Collaborator document, click and select Manage sections.
In the Manage sections dialog, expand the document navigation tree and locate the section whose position you what to change.
The sections you can reorder are highlighted in the Manage sections dialog.
Drag the section to a new location, as shown in the figure below.
If you want to move a section one level deeper in the document hierarchy, i.e., make it an inner section of another document section, drag and drop the section on top of another section.
- Once you are happy with the new position of the document section, click the Save button on the bottom right corner of the window.
Deleting document sections
You can delete the sections created in a Cameo Collaborator document as described below.
To delete a document section
- In the app bar of a Cameo Collaborator document, click and select Manage sections.
In the Manage sections dialog, expand the document navigation tree and locate the section you want to delete.
The sections you can delete are highlighted in the Manage sections dialog.
Click next to the section to delete it.
