  • The creation of the Boundary Diagram and Item to finalize the scope (the relevant parts of the system to be analyzed).
  • The creation of an item-based Interface Analysis table to study connections between functions.
  • The creation of a Parameter Diagram to identify the measurable parameters that could affect the intended output of a given function.
  • The creation of a Robustness Checklist to identify causality links between elements of a given function.
  • The creation of a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis table
