The Open in Table command allows you to view the selected element's content in any tabular view available in the active View Creation dialog without creating a tabular view in the model. It recursively exposes the selected element's content and automatically filters out KerML library elements. The table itself is not a model element, and it is marked as Temporary. Closing the temporary table and opening it anew via the Open in Table command opens a new temporary table.

You can perform all the same actions as in regular tables, except for: 

Any table-specific modifications (the display mode, column width adjustments, pinning, sorting, etc.) do not persist.

To open element content in temporary tables


  1. Right-click an element in the Containment tree or an element symbol in a view.
  2. In the element shortcut menu, click the Open in Table command.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select the needed table type.
    The selected element's content is recursively displayed in the selected temporary table.
