To install Alf, either (i) use the Resource/Plugin Manager menu item in the modeling tool to import, download, and install the plugin, or (ii) follow the manual installation instructions if you have already downloaded the plugin. Note that the Alf Plugin 19.0 requires that Cameo Simulation Toolkit 19.0 is already installed.
(i) To install Alf using Resource/Plugin Manager
Click Help > Resource/Plugin Manager on the modeling tool's main menu. The Resource/Plugin Manager will appear and prompt you to check for available updates and new resources. Click Check for Updates > Check.
Specify HTTP Proxy Settings for the connection to access updates and resources.
- Under the Plugins (commercial) group, select the Alf check box (for version 18.5) and click Download/Install.
- Once the installation is complete, a Message dialog informing you that the installation is complete will open. Click OK.
- Restart your application.
(ii) To install Alf following the manual installation instructions on all platforms
- Download the Alf_Plugin_19.0.zip file.
- Exit the MagicDraw application currently running.
- Extract the content of the Alf_Plugin_19.0.zip file to the directory where your modeling tool is installed, <md.install.dir>.
- Restart your application.
