The alternative block represents the possible configuration to be evaluated for the value, e.g., if you want to perform a trade study analysis for engines selection as in the Engine Trade Study package of the sample project, each kind of engine will be considered as an alternative. Therefore, the Engine block in the package is inherited from Alternative block.
