The Magic Collaboration Studio authentication server is built to facilitate an authentication service for an application to validate and authenticate an entity such as a remote user or a node that attempts to access a network by using account names and passwords. Not only can the authentication server authenticate users, but also create them as external users in the Magic Collaboration Studio system once they have been validated successfully. The option to allow the authentication server and the LDAP server to automatically create a user as external once they have successfully logged in is provided on the Teamwork Cloud Admin's Server Settings page.
This section provides the configuration parameters of the authentication server. You can find the parameters in the Teamwork Cloud dir/WebAppPlatform/shared/conf/authserver.properties file.
The AuthServer installation is changed in comparison to the earlier versions. Now, the Authentication server is placed under the WebAppPlatform and thus no longer runs as a separate service.
The following sections provide instructions on how to install and configure the authentication server in Magic Collaboration Studio.
