Magic Collaboration Studio authentication server is built to facilitate authentication service. Applications can validate and authenticate entities (such as remote users or nodes) that attempt to access the network using account names and passwords.
Authentication server can also create external users in the Magic Collaboration Studio system once they have been validated successfully. You can allow the authentication server and the LDAP server to do this using Teamwork Cloud Admin's Server Settings page.
- This section provides the configuration parameters of Authentication server. You can find these parameters in Teamwork Cloud <install_root>/WebAppPlatform/shared/conf/authserver.properties file.
- Authentication server properties can be encrypted. To encrypt these properties, follow the identical procedure for encrypting property values of Web Application Platform.
Authentication server installation has changed since earlier versions. Now, Authentication server is placed under the Web Application Platform and thus no longer runs as a separate service.
The following sections provide instructions on how to install and configure the authentication server in Magic Collaboration Studio.
