When multiple users work on a single project, they may lock different parts of that project. The Resources application allows you to unlock all the elements of a project locked by several different users.
You can use the Users application to unlock the elements of several different projects locked by a single user.
Prerequisites
To release locked elements, you must have the Resource Locks Administrator role (or Read Resources and Release Resource Locks permissions) for the resources you want to unlock. Learn more about roles and their permissions.
To release locked elements
- Navigate to the Resources application and do one of the following:
- Click
next to the resource, and choose Release locked elements. Click the resource and in the Resource pane, click
and choose Release locked elements.You can use the locked element filter to search for elements according to username or branch name.
- Click
Release locked elements pane opens. Select elements.
If a project is locked in different branches, releasing the lock(s) on a branch will not release other locks in the other branches.
Click the Unlock button.
