Special Transformation

An EA-exported XMI contains both non-standard UML elements and elements that can break the XMI schema. To retain standard UML elements and keep the XMI schema intact, the Enterprise Architect Import applies specific transformation rules. The following sections describe how each model element is transformed, enabling you to import a complete XMI model conforming to UML standards.
