Model Patch technology allows you to take a part of a model (e.g., one package), export it to a patch file, and then bring that part of the model into another project or branch.

You can use the Model Patch mechanism:

  • As an alternative for model merge when the source of truth is stored in the source version.
  • For disconnected team collaboration when changes are made only in a certain scope, and it is not necessary to bring the whole project.
  • To bring only necessary parts into the model rather than an entire used project.
