Upon adding and configuring the LDAP server, you may want to test whether your connection to the LDAP server works. If the test is not successful, you need to make necessary changes to the settings, save the changes, and retest the connection.

How to test the connection to an LDAP server


  1. On the LDAP User Directories page, select an LDAP server whose connection you want to test and click .

  2. Select . If the connection works, you will get a successful message, otherwise connection-related error messages will appear.

A message informing that there is no specified user found for the specified searchbase.

 

A message informing that connection to LDAP server cannot be established. The URL, Port, or Cert file is incorrect.


A message informing that the connection to LDAP server has been successful established but the specified username or password is incorrect.
