Before installing Magic Collaboration Studio, do the following:


To install and configure Magic Collaboration studio Studio perform the following steps:

  1. Install Apache Cassandra. (For the Cassandra version, see System requirements).

    To obtain the Cassandra installation file do one of the following:

    • After downloading
    The Apache Cassandra installation file is not included in
    • Magic Collaboration Studio installation files
    . In addition, we do not provide support for Cassandra installations on Windows because such installations are not natively supported by Apache. We strongly recommend using Linux deployments instead
    • , extract the magic_collaboration_studio_<version_number>_no_install_win64.zip file. You will find the Cassandra installation file in the magic_collaboration_studio_<version_number>_no_install_win64\MagicCollaborationStudio\Utilities directory.
    • Install Magic Collaboration Studio but do not start any of its services. Go to the <Magic_Collaboration_Studio_install_directory>\Utilities directory and obtain the Cassandra installation file. Install Apache Cassandra, check if it is working, and only then start the Magic Collaboration Studio services.
