Version 2024x Refresh1 of Teamwork Cloud further improves your user experience with added branch managing capabilities and enhanced branch visualization. The ability to set DSLS license in Teamwork Cloud Admin, added support for OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, a new available report type, and other improvements greatly contribute to increased ease of use and functionality.

Version 2024x Refresh1 of Cameo Collaborator for Teamwork Cloud introduces major enhancements in model hardening. You can now open a Cameo Collaborator document without publishing the project and link Collaborator paragraphs to other model elements. For added convenience, we also introduced new document editing features such as persisting commenting/editing mode, ability to add a video, and one-click saving option in Rich Text editor. But that‘s not all – we made other huge usability improvements, such as advanced comment customization options, support for diagram and table comparison, and the ability to open historical document versions.

Enhanced Branch Management

Managing Branches in Resources Application

To streamline branch management and offer you greater control and convenience, we introduce the Branches pane in the resource details view. This significant new feature of the Resources application allows you to efficiently manage resource branches, including archiving, renaming, and deleting them, directly from the web user interface.

Improved Visual Branch Representation

2024x Refresh1 includes some subtle yet impactful enhancements to the visual branch representation window. Archived branches are now clearly distinguishable with a greyed-out tag for easier navigation and organization. Additionally, you can now adjust column sizes effortlessly using a convenient column size slider, providing greater flexibility and customization within the interface.

Setting DSLS License in Teamwork Cloud Admin

We’re happy to announce two exciting updates relating to license management in Teamwork Cloud Admin.

Firstly, you can now utilize DSLS licenses seamlessly within the Settings application, simplifying the process of setting and managing licenses. Furthermore, we‘re introducing support for triad licenses, enabling you to configure up to three DSLS server addresses for a robust server failover mechanism.

Added Support for OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect

In this release, we expanded our authentication capabilities to include OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect clients alongside OAuth 1.0a, facilitating secure, consent-driven access while safeguarding user credentials. Users can now authorize client apps to access resources without compromising their credentials, ensuring enhanced privacy and security.

Application Deployment through Kubernetes

We introduce a new unified deployment strategy for Teamwork Cloud, Web Application Platform, and Cassandra through Kubernetes. With Kubernetes deployment, users can seamlessly manage and scale their applications with greater flexibility and consistency.

Other Fixes/Improvements

  • Resource Synchronization now supports secured connection (TLS).
  • Task manager is now accessible from any application and you can download Task manager reports.
  • A new type of report is available – the Locked resources report, displaying resources that have locked elements.
  • Now you only need the Resource Manager role to manage branch level permissions instead of the Manage User Permissions permission which was included solely in the Security Manager role.
  • From now on Cassandra-related properties from Teamwork Cloud configuration files apply to Authserver as well, so it is no longer necessary to configure Cassandra-related properties in the authserver.properties file.

Commenting

In this release, we expanded commenting capabilities in response to customer feedback and business requirements. An essential enhancement is the ability to customize comment templates to align with your unique needs and preferences, providing greater flexibility in communication. Additionally, you can now conveniently view comments within a dedicated comment table, streamlining the comment review process for improved collaboration and efficiency.

Ability to Customize Comments

This version includes a new ability to customize comment attributes through a Profile Diagram with changes reflected in the comments panel. Previously limited to modifying only the title, body, and urgency of comments, you now have the option to tailor additional input fields and properties to suit your specific needs.

Comment Table

We enhanced the comment review process in models by automatically generating a hierarchical comment table under the package that represents the document. This table is created when the very first comment is added and lists all comments along with their priority and resolution status, streamlining the review process.

Improved PDF Export

With this release we refined the PDF export functionality, particularly affecting large-scale documents. Improved search function, added password protection, and enhanced performance ensure a smoother experience when exporting documents.

Text Search in Diagrams

You can search for text in diagrams of exported PDF documents.

  • Significant performance increase and lower memory consumption (waiting for diagram)
  • Added capabilities such as password protection in PDF generating dialog
  • Sections are exported as bookmarks

Change Tracking

In response to customer feedback and critical requirements, we introduce major improvements to change tracking capabilities. You can now easily track changes in documents by opening historical versions and view what edits were made by which user at a specific time. Additionally, you can compare diagrams and tables across different versions, providing valuable insights into the evolution of project requirements and designs.

Accessing and Linking Historical Versions of Documents

You can access historical versions of Cameo Collaborator documents and open them in a read-only mode. This allows you to monitor content changes and make informed decisions, helping to review and improve project workflows.

Additionally, you can share a link to a specific document version. This significantly enhances collaboration as it allows you to share a snapshot of the content as it appeared at a specific moment in time.

Comparing Diagrams and Tables from Different Document Versions

We implemented the ability to easily compare diagrams and tables across different versions of a document. This allows you to effortlessly track the evolution of your content and gain valuable insights into how your elements have transformed over time.

Model Hardening

In the initial phases of systems engineering, informal ideas often arise, necessitating lightweight capturing methods. Recognizing this need, Cameo Collaborator now enables non-modelers to easily initiate project changes with blank documents. They can input requirements or other data which modelers can then convert into SysML/UAF models. And for smoother transition between ideation and actual modeling, this version also supports linking paragraphs directly to model elements.

Opening Cameo Collaborator Document Without Project Publishing

To help non-modelers to share ideas more quickly and efficiently, we introduce the ability to open a Cameo Collaborator document without publishing the associated project first. Document edits are then reflected in the

Opening a document of unpublished project with changes reflected in modeling tool.

Linking Cameo Collaborator Paragraphs to Other Model Elements

We now allow linking Cameo Collaborator paragraphs to model element properties of numerical or textual type. This allows you to view up-to-date information and edit Cameo Collaborator document without the need to manipulate the actual model in a modeling tool.

User Experience Improvements

Persisting Commenting or Editing Mode

When you enter commenting or editing mode, it will no longer close automatically after making a single change. Instead, the mode will persist until you manually close it or choose to discard/commit your changes to Teamwork Cloud. This improvement will enhance your overall editing workflow and contribute to a smoother user experience.

One-Click Saving in Rich Text Editing Form

Now you can save your edits with just one click while editing values in Rich Text Editing forms, eliminating the need to minimize the form. Introducing the Save button in the toolbar simplifies the workflow, enhancing user experience by reducing steps required to save changes.

Ability to Add Video to a Cameo Collaborator Document

You can now enrich your Cameo Collaborator documents with dynamic multimedia content by adding a video instead of a still image. This enhances communication and collaboration between teams and creates a more engaging and comprehensive experience.

Legend Support in Non-editable Documents

Addressing customer feedback, we introduce the ability to display table legends in non-editable Cameo Collaborator documents. This allows you to easily distinguish table elements by their status and even filter out different statuses.

Other Fixes/Improvements

  • You no longer need to specify Cameo Collaborator URL in modeling tool Environment options, as the URL is retrieved automatically.
  • Minor usability improvements in the Comments panel in modeling tools.
  • You can now add triad licenses for Flexnet License Server.
  • We added the option to export tables to CSV and JSON formats in addition to PDF and HTML.
  • Users are now informed about a possibly outdated Cameo Collaborator document if the project it was published from has a newer version.
  • SLF4J was removed and Log4j is now used for logging.
