MagicDraw 19.0 SP3 does not start after upgrading to Mac OS X Big Sur. How can I fix this issue?

This happens because the application is moved into quarantine.

To remove the application from the quarantine

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Write the command: xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine full-path-to-installation-dir (e.g. "xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MagicDraw")
  3. Press enter to execute the command.
  4. Close the terminal and start MagicDraw using the .app file.
