A User Manager can edit an internal user's data, except the username. External users are users imported from LDAP servers; therefore, their user information cannot be directly edited via User Detail page. You can resynchronize the external user information by using the Import LDAP users page.
A username on the User Management page links to the User detail page where you can see more information about the user. If you are a User Manager, you will be able to view and edit the user's information as well.
Tip
You can also click the username's button to edit a user's information on the User detail page.

The following figure shows the User detail page of an internal user that contains information about the user such as full name, email, and password (editable).

The following figure shows the User detail page of an external user imported from an LDAP server. You cannot edit the user information directly on the User detail page. If you need to edit the information (except the username), you must either convert the user to internal first or synchronize it with the user information on the LDAP server.

Convert to Intenal | This menu converts an external user to internal. A password is required for an internal user. |
Convert to External | This menu converts an internal user to external. |
This menu finds a matching user in the connected LDAP. The matching user information will be used to update the external user information in TWCloud. |
Tip
If your role is not User Manager, you will not be able to open the Reset Password form.
You can change or modify your own information, except the username. However, only a User Manager can edit another user's profile. In addition, it is possible for users, who do not have any role in TWAdmin, to edit their own profile, such as full name, email, department, and phone number.
If authorized, you can enable or disable user login by selecting or clearing on the User detail page.
To edit a user's information
- On the User Management page, click a username (an internal user) whose information you want to edit. The User detail page will open allowing you to edit the selected user's information.
- Edit or enter the user's information such as full name and email address.
- Select or clear to enable or disable user login.
- You can see all projects whose elements locked by the user by clicking and you can unlock them if you are authorized to do so (see Releasing elements locked by a user for the instructions)
- You can go to to see the user's role(s) or assignment(s) or assign a role or a resource to the user. For more information on how to assign a role/resource to a user, see Assigning roles.
- Click to apply your changes.
