The Actual Project Assignment Wizard is used to show Actual Projects in a specified time frame.


To open the Actual Project Assignment Wizard


  1. Open a Projects Roadmap diagram (UAF).
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the diagram toolbar, click Add New > Actual Project or Add Sub Project.
    • On the diagram pane, right-click the needed project, and from the shortcut menu, select and select Add new Sub Project.
    • In the diagram toolbar, click Add Existing.
      The Actual Project  Assignment Wizard opens.

The wizard consists of three steps:

Project selection

In this step, you can select a Project in the following ways:

  • Select an existing Project from the suggested list.
  • Create a new Project by clicking the Creation Mode button.

To create a Project


  1. In the Actual Project  Assignment Wizard dialog, click the Creation Mode.
  2. Select the package where you want to create a Project.
  3. Click the Create button.
  4. In the Specification window of the newly created Project, type its name.

Start date specification

In this step, you can set the start date (or select the date from the Timeline) when the selected Actual Project starts.

End date specification

In this step, you can set the end date (or select the date from the Timeline) when the selected Actual Project ends.
