Released on: November 8, 2024

In version 2024x Refresh2, Cameo DataHub introduces numerous connector specific enhancements. Also, the release introduces various bug fixes and general enhancements.

Enhancements

IBM Doors Next Generation connector

Enhanced Backlink Support: DataHub now fully supports the backlink between IBM DOORS NG and TWC. The OSLC resource link is now automatically retrieved from the TWC OSLC API. When the model is committed to TWC and data is synchronized between DOORS NG and the model, the Satisfy By link hover now provides a preview of the Collaborator resource. For more information, refer to Business Use Case flow with DNG.

JAMA Connect connector

The JAMA Connect requirements management application connector introduces several new features:

  • Related Element Selection: Users can now select related elements from either the modeling application or JAMA Connect. When a synchronized item is selected in a model or on the DataHub Explorer panel, initiating the Select the related item command will highlight the corresponding element on the opposite side. This enhancement simplifies navigation between synchronized parts of the model and JAMA Connect project.
  • Diagram Synchronization: You can now synchronize diagrams from JAMA Connect to the model. Diagrams are converted into images and embedded into the Text property of the selected model element. Note that synchronization is currently only supported from JAMA Connect to the model. For more information, refer to Diagram Synchronization.
  • Streamlined GUI: The DataHub GUI has been now enhanced to disable unsupported commands when using the JAMA Connect connector, resulting in a clearer and more user-friendly interface.

Bug Fixes

JAMA Connect

  • UTF-8 Synchronization Error: Fixed an issue where a UTF-8 related error occurred during data synchronization from the model to JAMA Connect in specific cases.
  • Custom Item Synchronization: Resolved issues with the synchronization of custom JAMA Connect items not functioning correctly in certain scenarios.
  • Link Display Issues: Fixed an issue where links between items synchronized from the model to JAMA Connect project were not displayed correctly until the project was reloaded.
  • Authentication Panel: Resolved an issue that disabled the JAMA Connect data source login panel inputs when switching between available authentication methods.

ENOVIA Requirements

  • Data Loss Prevention: Fixed an issue causing partial data loss during synchronization from the ENOVIA Requirements application to the model due to complex HTML-formatted data.
  • Empty Requirement Specification: Resolved an issue preventing the creation of empty Requirement Specifications on the ENOVIA Requirements application side based on an empty package from a model. You can now synchronize an empty package and add necessary items later, either in the model or the ENOVIA Requirements application.
  • 3DS Platform Support: This release now supports the 3DS 2025x platform, deployed both on the cloud and on-premise.

IBM DOORS Classic

  • Automatic Synchronization Tool: Added a new tool for automatic background synchronization between IBM DOORS and the modeling tool. You can now configure the synchronization process to run on a schedule, eliminating the need for manual intervention. This tool is especially useful for handling large data volumes.

Other Enhancements

  • Improved GUI for Non-UML Projects: The DataHub GUI now automatically disables its menus when a non-UML project is open.
  • Various small GUI enhancements and bug fixes have been implemented to improve overall user experience and application stability.
