Element symbols, including shapes and paths, are displayed in views based on the symbol styles defined in the style sheets in the 3DS SysML Customization library that is loaded in every project. You can modify element symbol styles according to your preferences by working with style sheets.

Types of style sheet specification:

  • (2026x Refresh1) Predefined style sheets
Each SysML v2 project is automatically loaded with the 3DS SysML Customization library containing predefined style sheets. Each style sheet contains symbol style rules based on the element metaclasses. The DefaultStyleSheet style sheet contains model-based styles that apply to all element symbols in SysML v2 projects by default based on element metaclass.
  • (2026x Refresh1) Custom style sheets:
Instead of or in addition to using the existing style sheets, you can also create custom style sheets with your own sets of rules for symbol styles.
    • Extract a style sheet
In a view displaying elements with applied metadata, you can automatically extract a style sheet based on the applied metadata, applied metadata feature value, specialized library element, or library element feature value. The extracted style sheet is automatically applied to the view and the displayed symbols.
    • Create a style sheet from scratch
Create a style sheet with your own custom rules.
